how to set eq for post-hardcore/screamo,amp or pedal eq?

hi proffesionals,,i am kinda new in this whole post-hardcore stuffs,,i want to know what should be the eq for amp and ML-2 or any other pedals or boss GE-7,metal muff harmonix..?and also the guitar or pickup which post-hardcore usally uses? 

help needed urgently!!
