The Fender Princeton Reverb is known for being an incredible tube guitar amp with a very clean tone and lush reverb. It has been loved and played by guitarists of different genres for dozens of years. It’s small and relatively lightweight, and is well suited for guitarists living in apartments – but you can play a small gig with it as well.
One popular upgrade for the Fender Princeton Reverb was to swap out the stock 10″ speaker for a 12″ instead. Fender has created a special edition version of the Princeton that comes with this upgrade – save yourself the hassle of doing the upgrade yourself. Take a look at this special edition Princeton which has a Celestion 12″ Cream Alnico Speaker instead of the stock 10″ speaker.
If you have experience playing a Princeton with a 12″ speaker let us know what you think about the change in tone in the comments below!
